New Puppies and New Releases

Upon Reflection of Puppies and Children

My name is Pepper. Like every girl, I adore shoes.
My daughter has a three-year-old son and I have a six-month-old puppy. I imagine we say the same things to each of them:
  • Don’t take your toys outside.
  • Stay out of the cat box.
  • Don’t sit on my laptop.
  • Where did you put Mommy’s shoes?
  • Don’t annoy your siblings.
  • You have to take a bath.
  • Quit going in and out of the house.
  • Where did you put Daddy’s shoes?
The main difference between puppies and toddlers is that Pepper, that cute little Frenchton in the picture, eats kibble (and shoes and furniture and dog beds and trash) and my adorable grandson does not (at least, not anymore).

Puppies learn better behaviors and grow into dogs, but they are perpetual children. Toddlers also learn better behaviors … and grow into adults with responsibilities, jobs, stress, traffic, bills. If they’re lucky, they get a puppy or two. Because puppies understand the wonders and joys of life, they are risk-takers, and they love easily. There is nothing better than crawling into bed after a long day and getting puppy snuggles.

I guess the point is that puppies and grandchildren are freaking awesome.

I hope you have one or the other or both in your lives!

Loving Raine on Sale Now!

Love never dies...
 Dear Reader,

This story is close to my heart. As a romance writer, nothing gives me greater pleasure than to write about two people falling into love, surviving the trials and tribulations tossed in their way ... and finally getting their happily-ever-after.

Unfortunately, Connor and Raine didn't get their happy ending the first time around. Murder and betrayal separated them ... but not forever. A witch's powerful spell has allowed them to return once every century. In 800 years, Connor has never found his true love again ... until now.

They still have to face dangers and hidden enemies to be together ... but Connor will do anything to ensure he can spend his life loving Raine!

~Michele :-)
